Little Bunny Foo Foo,
Hopping through the forest
Scooping up the field mice
And boppin' 'em on the head
Down came the Good Fairy and she said...
"Little Bunny Foo Foo,
I don't want to see you
Scooping up the field mice
And boppin' 'em on the head.
I'll give you three chances,
And if you don't behave
I'll turn you into a goon!"
(repeat, day 2)
(repeat, day 3)
That Little Bunny Foo Foo just did not take the Good Fairy seriously!!
Do we all remember what happened next? Naughty Bunny Foo Foo was turned into a GOON!
Moral of the story? Hare today, goon tomorrow.
I've used this Lunch Punch fairy princess sandwich press once before and said it reminded me of this nursery rhyme. And I just couldn't get it out of my head. So I had to do a full blown theme with it. :)
Top row:
- the forest (steamed broccoli & cheese flowers)
- fairy floss (otherwise known as cotton candy)
- the GOON! (peeled kiwi fruit, sugar icing eyes, pretzel sticks, fruit leather tongue)
- field mice (strawberries, mini-choc chips, sprinkles, Cheerio ears, fruit leather tails)
- the Good Fairy (Lunch Punch from the new Sand*wishes set)
- the very naughty Bunny Foo Foo (hard boiled, shaped egg with sprinkles)

The Goon was the hardest for me to imagine up. But once kiwi was settled on he came together so easily and he was so fun! Love this guy.

The Good Fairy (whom I also found referred to as "The Blue Fairy") is actually "fairy bread"!! A very common treat in Australia, fairy bread is simply buttered bread encrusted in "hundreds and thousands" (otherwise known as "sprinkles!"). So not healthy, but oh so whimsical and fun! Unfortunately, my daughter was just confused. She told me "mama, you forgot to put the stuffs inside!". Such a critic. ;-)
The low-lights...

The mice were inspired by Family Fun. Let me tell you, these stinkin' mice were so NOT fun to make! Oh my goodness. I never expected they'd be so tricky. But the strawberries began to ooze as soon as the surface was pierced, so the rodents looked to be bleeding about the ears. The chocolate chips were melting and popping out. The tails kept falling off. I wanted to bash the field mice over the head myself.
I'm not going to lie, this was the most time consuming muffin tin meal I've ever done, by a long shot. Total labor of love, this one was! I'm so happy with how it turned out though. :) And maybe now I can get that darn nursery rhyme out of my head! ;-)
As usual, if you'd like to see other muffin tin meals by other lunchy mama's, just click on over to the home of the Muffin Tin Mom to check them out. :)

this is absolutely stunning.
oh my goodness - how cute! It must take your FOREVER to make your MF! :)
Cute! My son loves bunny foofoo.
I love this. Made me think of my brother when he was 3. Of course he always said the "Goon Fairy said, I'll turn you into a big poof and POOF!" He some how would combine the song into one verse. My favorites are the Goon and the field mice.
I love Little Funny FooFoo! This is a fabulous tin! :0)

Don't go look at my muffin tin post. I'm hanging my head in SHAME now...!
I love this entire muffin tin! The mice are darling, i cracked up when I saw the Goon, and the Fairy is so sweet! BTW, I remember that song from when I was a kid and now I'll be singing Little Bunny Foo Foo all day!
My kids would love the kiwi goon. Too cute!
So CUTE!!!
I love the fairy sandwich!! I'm going to have to get some of those LunchPunch things!
I love this one!!! My mom use to sing me that song all the time as a child. And even though you don't think they turned out great, I LOOOOVE those field mice!
I have no words. This one is being bookmarked. Perfect.
Wow!! This is amazing. I love the princess sandwich, and the strawberry mice, and the goon. Heck, I love it all!
AMAZING! Lord you make me feel like a SLACKER! :-)
adorable!!!
Holy moly, what a piece of art! Or a labor of love? In any case, very impressive and very gorgeous. And it looks delicious, too. I want to try fairy bread now!
Very cute! I love the princess sandwich (and the goon and the mice for that matter).
Your mice story reminds me of the eggs I made for a preschool picnic with individual faces. The two I normally make aren't bad. 24 made me want to kill myself. I was standing in the kitchen cursing at 1am. ;o)
One of the cutest things I've ever seen!
This is so dang cute! I love your ideas!!!
Wow! Never, ever would I dream up a Muffin Tin this amazing. Way to go!!

That's got to be one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time (and I spend a LOT of time on blogs)! Well done!
Too cute for words!!!
Oh my goodness that looks FANTASTIC!
Amazing! My theme lunches are never anything more than colors/shapes/seasonal cupcake liners as dividers/breakfast for lunch. This is fabulous!
OK, I almost peed myself reading about your bleeding mice. You should have bopped one over the head when you were done. Smooshed strawberry tastes good, right?
Nothing wrong with a smushed strawberry. ;-) Seriously Melissa, one of your best yet.
This is like true art--I could never let my kids eat it, LOL. I love it. Love, love, love it.
What a great luch! Just wanted to let you know I'll be featuring it on Tot Tuesdays tomorrow :)
Okay, this is the lunch that has pushed me over the edge! I'm really going to try my hand at Bento this time. I've always ooohed and ahhhed over Bento creations, but never actually made one. We're so fond of this song/rhyme and your creation is so cute - how could I NOT try this!
AMAZING! I'm your newest follower.
Oh my heck! This is so stinking adorable!! Why isn't my baby old enough for muffin tin/bento lunches yet?? :)
