piggie in a blanket bento

This was a mini-lunch/big snack for my little girl. Miss Paige is a huge hot dog fan. Unfortunately for her, mean mama doesn't let her have them too often. ;-) Playing in the kitchen I made a few "pigs in a blanket" (hot dog in a crescent roll) thinking it would be a big hit with her!
pig in a blanket, with a side of bunnies

This bento lunch consists of a pig in a blanket, pretzels, cheddar cheese (cut in flower shapes) and a silicone cup of strawberries and blueberries.
The cute little bottle with a bunny lid holds ketchup.

The pig in a blanket was a big flop! My girl just tore off all the breading and ate the hot dog plain. She didn't like the crescent roll barging in on her hot dog one bit. ;-)

In other news, there will be some fun changes coming to my blog soon. I apologize in advance if things look a little wonky in a few days. The end result will be worth it! :)

Also, if you haven't seen yet, "another lunch" is now on Facebook! Please join me over there and share with your friends too, if you are so inclined! The more the merrier! :)

I love your cute little avatar picture! :)

Lunch looks delicious! Too bad she didn't like the cresent :( Kidlet would do the opposite and eat the bread off lol

Ha! Yes, I think your vegetarian kid and my carnivorous girl would get along great. Yin and yang. LOL

I have been blog-stalking for 2 weeks now. I have a shopping cart on J-list all ready to go. I drove an hour away from a laptop lunchbox (kinda not liking those lids) and wanted to tell you, I found the sassy box in the baby section at Target today for 5.99!! They had pink and blue- we got blue for the big boy.

I LOVE your ideas and am really excited about trying them out this summer before I head back to teaching in the fall (then I will be packing lunches every day... which seems like a chore...). Somehow doing it and being at home seems like a joy.

I LOVE your blog!

I think you could easily make a business out of providing boxes, picks and accoutrement!!

You guys are so great! :)

Queen of Harrisonville - if you click on the Jlist banner over there in the right margin -->
and enter "sauce bottles" in their search box you will get all the little bottle options they have in stock. I don't think they have these specific ones right now. They do that the cute apple lid ones that are adorable too. :)
If you really have your heart set on these ones you could look at ebay (search "bento sauce bottle). :)
