In the big section: cheddar cheese stars, a strawberry, a few peppered turkey rolls (secured with monkey picks), two grape kabobs (on swizzle sticks), a homemade granola bar, and baby carrots.
The smaller sections contain homemade salsa (heavy on cilantro - So.Good.) and corn chips.
I used a small piece of plastic cling wrap over the section with the salsa and it worked really well to keep it contained. I think as long as you are using a lunchbag that holds the EasyLunchbox flat (such as their own) and you aren't swinging it crazily all around, most liquidy things will stay put very well.

Mmmm... homemade salsa recipe please! I've got cilantro growing in my garden!
I think this lunch looks fun and colorful!
If this is a mess then I only want to eat messes. I live for cilantro. That looks delish!
Thanks, ladies!
Planet Pink - I'll have to get the recipe from my hubs. He's the resident salsa maker around here. :)
When I read "you aren't swinging it crazily all around most liquidy things will stay put very well", I decided that I want your kids ;) I've watched mine carrying in his lunchbox to school and that's all he does - swing his lunch around, his backpack, narrowly avoiding bopping other kids as he spins around happily. I tried cling wrap over some yogurt once -- lets just say that it didn't go well ;)
Ha! Pigs Do Fly - the thing is, my son has learned the hard way that swinging his lunchbox all over tarnation causes his food to not look so nice when he goes to eat. ;-) So he's pretty careful with it. At least prior to lunch he's careful, after lunch all bets are off. :p
Salsa recipe please YUM
I love your ideas! What do you do with the scraps after you cut out all the cute shapes?
Hi Cranky Apple, thanks! The scraps don't go to waste! For cheese they sometimes get eaten by me or my hovering vultures, um, I mean, darling children. When I can I put them aside for the baby (he's one) since his needs to be cut in tiny nibbles anyway. Sometimes I'll hide the odd pieces under the pretty shapes on top. :)
