bitty bento

Small lunch for my little girl.
pinklove box

Juicy strawberries, Goldfish crackers, egg salad sandwich. Because she is only two she has a small fork rather than a tiny food pick for her strawberries.

Because she has a tendency to peel apart her sandwiches and make a mess I sealed this one closed with a sandwich press. I especially like using the sandwich press on grilled cheese sandwiches. If you seal it well enough you can even stick the whole thing in a wide-slot toaster! :)

So cute! Does she come asking for more food later after a lunch that size though? Today my 2 year old had 4 ham slices cut into hearts, a cheese wedge, a whole cutie mandarin orange, 2 cherry tomatoes and a granola bar and 10 minutes later ate a whole banana and now a half hour later is eating pretzels. I'm going to go broke!

She had a big breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, a piece of toast and a half banana. That's more than she normally eats for breakfast, so I was okay sending a smaller lunch than normal. She has snack at school preceeding lunch and then comes home shortly after lunch. She did want to eat as soon as she got home though.

Somedays she doesn't eat that much and other days she blows me away with how much she eats. I can never tell with her!

Are you suggesting if I seal bread and cheese like a grilled cheese sandwich, I can put the whole thing in a wide toaster without grilling it??????? Genius concept. Never would have occured to me.
